09:00 Depart from downtown hotel.
09:20 Marina Del Rey, Venice from the car window.
Arrive at Marina Del Rey, the world’s largest manufactured yacht harbor, in about 20 minutes. This is the world’s largest manufactured yacht harbor, with 500 yachts moored. You will drive past this harbor as you head towards Venice. You will then travel along Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street to Santa Monica.
09:40 Get off at Santa Monica and enjoy sightseeing.
Santa Monica’s famous pier arch is a must-see, always appearing on Los Angeles tourist guides. You will have 40 minutes of free time here, so feel free to explore the area around the pier. This is also the end point of Route 66, which continues from Chicago, so it’s a great place to take photos with the Route 66 sign in the background. Santa Monica Place, the shopping mall featured in the movie “The Terminator,” and the pedestrian-only Third Promenade are also nearby.

We pass by the Guitar Center and have 45 minutes of free time at the entertainment complex Ovation Hollywood (formerly known as Hollywood and Highland). We’ll visit the adjacent Dolby Theatre (home of the Academy Awards) and the Chinese Theatre, famous for its handprints and footprints (YOSHIKI recently joined). The street facing the entrance is home to the Walk of Fame, a popular tourist attraction with over 2,000 star-shaped plaques engraved with the names of prominent figures in the entertainment industry. While there is plenty to see here, if you’d prefer to spend some time on your own, just ask your guide. 12:10 depart Hollywood to downtown hotel.
